3,600 square metres of stripping off existing roof and Northern light glazing and replace with new composite panel/polycarbonate system.
Awarded following detailed commercial discussions, project planning and logistical meetings.
The programme had very strict and uncompromising time scales, due to the new roof being installed during the annual two-week factory production facility shut down.
Safety preparation works consisted of a fully boarded external walkway scaffolding, safety netting for internal operative protection and two-layers of debris netting for protection to the production machines.
Stripping works on day one of the agreed programme, produced an average of 360 square metres per day of stripping and re-sheeting works. This consistency remained the same on a day to day basis.
Once each phase of the roofs were completed, the internal protection was removed immediately, followed by a final internal clean down. With 24 hours to spare the building was handed back to the client, therefore ensuring they were ready for another production year. PROFILE completed a further phase of the production facility in the Summer of 2015.
